Susan knows how to listen. Not only to people's words, but to their hearts, their past selves, the trees, the birds, the spirits, the stones, the earth. Through her profound listening, Susan has great insight into the many layers of this world.
About
Hi, I’m Susan. I became a shamanic practitioner through a seven year apprenticeship with Amanda Foulger, core shamanic practitioner [what's that?] and faculty member of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. I’ve been in professional practice since 1999.
I’m a dreamer, a seer, an empath, clairaudient — all of which make me particularly suited for this work. I've listened to dreams and spirits since childhood. In the 70’s, I lived in the woods and learned plant medicine and mountain ways. In the 80’s, crystals began to appear in dreams, and then in real life. I studied the properties of crystals, stones, and flower essences for vibrational medicine. They are major helpers in my work. In the 90’s I met Amanda, as a client, and began my apprenticeship, as directed by journey guidance.
Actually, I’d had several shamanic initiations decades earlier, but didn’t know it. read more
I was surprised when, in 2006, I was told through dreams to become a student. Seven more years of rigorous training—at Reed College, Oxford University, and Goddard College—brought academic degrees, literary knowledge, and poetic craft to combine with the energetic components and do deeper work informed by lore.
I use my skills to communicate powerfully on your behalf.
I call myself an energy wrangler, because shamanic work is all about working with energy, to restore wholeness and balance. I’m here to help you rise and fly.
I live on Vashon Island, a ferry ride from Seattle. You can be anywhere on the planet to work with me.
